About Digital Trust Audit
Digital Trust Audit is an independent UK body that checks what a customer, a bank, a procurement team or an AI answer engine can verify about a business from the outside, against a published standard, and does not sell the remediation. It is the trading name of DTA Registry Ltd.

The registered office is a registered office. This body has no premises and no staffed office, which is the ordinary position for a business that works entirely from public sources and delivers a document.
Digital Trust Audit is a private scheme
It is not a statutory scheme. It carries no government endorsement, no national accreditation and no public authority. It is not connected to UK CertifID or the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework, and it does not assess trading conduct.
What it has instead is a published standard, objective criteria applied without discretion, a register that shows withdrawals, and a published appeals route. Anyone can check whether we applied our own rules, which is the only form of accountability available to a scheme that has not been given authority.
Who owns it, and the relationship a reader is entitled to know about
DTA Registry Ltd is wholly owned by OD3X Ltd, a company registered in Hong Kong.
OD3X Ltd also owns a half share in OD3X Growth Ltd, a UK agency that carries out remediation work — including, potentially, remediation of findings raised in an assessment by this body. That is a real relationship and it is stated here rather than left to be discovered.
Four things constrain it, and they are the reason it is survivable:
The criteria are published and carry no discretion. Score thresholds and the hard floor are printed in the standard. A certifier with no judgement to exercise has no favour to grant, and anyone can recompute the result.
The assessment is run and scored before any remediation relationship exists. Nobody with an interest in remediation work touches a score. A re-assessment after fixes is a new, dated assessment, never an amendment to an old one.
No commission is taken. This body takes no payment from any firm carrying out remediation, whether or not it introduced them. Partner agencies pay a flat fee to submit assessments, never a fee linked to what a client goes on to buy.
Connections are stated on the report and on the register. Where this body has any connection to an assessed business, or to the supplier who built or maintains what was assessed, it is named on the report and on the verification page.
Partners
Assessments are introduced by partner agencies, including OD3X Growth and TelecomGrowth. A partner introduces; this body assesses and signs; the partner, or anyone else the business chooses, carries out the work that follows. Three parties in the sentence, and the middle one has no interest in the outcome.
The founder
Paul Hanner is the founder and director of DTA Registry Ltd. He has spent forty years in electronics engineering, early UK internet services, music industry technology and telecommunications, and holds directorships in several companies in the OD3X and Assist groups. Those companies are named in the company records that carry his name, which are public.
We ran the assessment on ourselves first
Working out which of the founder’s own companies could hold an accreditation surfaced, in two days and without anyone looking for them, a registered office on a mass-registration list, a domain registered at an address about to belong to a different company, a WHOIS privacy setting designated for a non-trading individual on a domain about to trade, and two companies displaying no statutory particulars on their websites.
None was serious and all were cheap to fix. They were found because the questions were asked in order, by the method this body sells, applied to the house that built it. They were fixed before this site was published.
