How the registered office counts are taken
Each count is the total returned by Companies House advanced search for an exact postcode, read on a stated date. The query is below so that anyone can reproduce it. Nothing is inferred, estimated or modelled.

Three things the raw number does not tell you
Postcode total versus suite line. A building's postcode total and the total against a specific floor or suite are different numbers, sometimes by two orders of magnitude. The postcode figure is what a crude external check returns; the suite line is what appears on a company record. Both are recorded where they differ materially.
Composition beats the count. Eight hundred companies registered through a law firm's client service is a different signal from eight hundred sold at £14 a month by a formation agent. Who else is at an address decides the reading. A mid-band count in good company passes; a low count in poor company does not.
Trajectory. An address resold cheaply keeps climbing whatever it reads today. The cheapest published point of sale for an address is a better predictor than the current count.
What is reported, and what is not
The count is reported. The motive is not. The number is a matter of public record and stating it is safe and useful. Characterising the companies registered at an address, or the provider hosting them, is neither. Nothing on these pages says or implies that companies at any address are suspect.
Declared interests
No money is taken from anyone named in the register. No affiliate links, no sponsored listings, no recommended provider tier, no paid placement, in any form, ever.
DTA Registry Ltd, the company that operates Digital Trust Audit, is a customer of one of the operators whose buildings appear in the table. Its registered office, 20 Old Bailey, is one of that operator’s centres, and it appears in the register on exactly the same basis as every other address, with its count published and its band stated. Commercial terms were negotiated on volume alone. Register treatment was never raised, offered or discussed in that negotiation, and it never will be.
The group’s own addresses are in the register. DTA Registry Ltd’s registered office is named on the register page. Other companies connected to the same founder are registered at addresses that appear in the mass-registration and shared-address tables, and those figures are published alongside every other.
Cadence and corrections
Re-checked quarterly. Each quarter’s data is kept at its own permanent URL; figures are never silently overwritten.
A correction to any figure on these pages is made by emailing audit@digitaltrustaudit.co.uk with the address and the date checked. Corrections are made within five working days and noted with the date on the register page.
